Information about visitor's tax and accommodation tax in Bad Ems (56130) The following applies to all guests staying in our holiday apartments: • In Bad Ems, a visitor's tax is levied to finance the tourist infrastructure, spa facilities and events. • The visitor's tax per night and person is: • From 1 April to 15 October: €1.92 (main travellers) or €1.66 (accompanying persons) • from 16 October to 31 March: €1.66 (main travellers) or €1.41 (accompanying persons) • There are exemptions from the visitor's tax, e.g. for children under the age of 14, visitors staying in the spa area for less than 24 hours, etc. • In addition, an accommodation tax will be introduced in Bad Ems from 1 January 2025. It amounts to 3% of the gross overnight price.
